Am I Haunted?

I can't sleep. I'm feeling totally horrible at the moment.
The day started off great. Although, my day didn't technically start til 4:30pm. Today (or, since it's 3am, maybe I should say yesterday) was the wedding rehearsal. Everything went great and we got a whole bunch of stuff sorted. Then some of us had dinner. During dinner, we realised the bride and groom didn't get a hen's and bachelor's party, so after dinner, we decided to have a little mixed one. Turned into a hen's do anyway, cos the groom decided he didn't want to come. My sister and I even went shopping for some hats and masks and little stuff to costume it up.
It started off fun. We played around with the hats and took photos. But then it turned horrible. All because of me.
Because I lost the bride's iPod.
The bride had decided she wanted a backup iPod to place all her music on but she didn't have all the songs on her laptop, so we decided to do it at home. I remember handing her the iPod at the rehearsal and her connecting it to her laptop, then discovering we weren't going to be able to transfer the playlists from her iPod very easily, and therefore making the decision to do it later at home. I don't remember her handing the iPod back to me. I think she did, I just can't remember it. And therefore, don't remember what I did with it.
Anyways, halfway through our little hen's do, we decided to transfer the playlists, and I went to look for her iPod and that's when I discovered I didn't have it. We searched every possible place it could be, and called the venue, and everyone who was there. No luck. No one was in the mood for SingStar or dress ups. I felt too horrible to even talk to the bride. It was her big day the next day and I'd already ruined it. I don't even know if I'll be in much of a mood to join her for all the pre-wedding stuff tomorrow. My sister and I are supposed to be heading to her parents for the whole groom-paying-to-get-to-his-bride thing, but I'm wondering if maybe I shouldn't go. We've agreed to head to the venue early tomorrow morning to see if we can find anything, but if we can't find it, I don't know if I'll be willing to head to her parents' place cos I'll just have bad news for her.
She had the songs from her playlists on an external hard drive, which she'd brought to the hen's do (she'd gone home first) so we still have the music for tomorrow, but she had some stuff on her iPod which she didn't have a backup of, so she really wants to find her iPod. I was kinda hoping she'd tell me that there was nothing on the iPod she couldn't replace, but unfortunately, that's not the case, so I feel like a horrible person right now.
I know I'm a scatterbrain, but during the last hour, I had another thought. Normally, I just forget things. But I know where I left them. I just forget them at the time. Occasionally, (or a little more frequently than just occasionally) there comes the case where I can remember every little detail about where an object is, right up until the very last moment. Why is it that I can remember where the lost object is, right up until just moments before I lose it? I can remember the iPod being with me right up until just before we left. We'd connected the iPod to her laptop shortly before we left the venue. I remember packing all the cables, and other gadgets she'd given me responsibility for into a bag that I'd brought to carry extra stuff in. I just can't remember where the iPod was. I can't remember if she'd handed it to me or not (but I'm pretty sure she did) but I can remember her handing me cables AFTER she would have handed me back her iPod.
I'm wondering whether or not I'm haunted by some spirit who likes making me forget the most important thing. It's always really important stuff that I lose. And I tend to lose them right at the last minute. Whenever I try to remember where I possibly lost it, I can always remember right from the moment I'm handed the item, until just before we leave. Since they're important items, I tend to be much more aware of it, making sure I still have it. And then, always at the very last moment, I both manage to lose it, and lose any memory of where I put it down. I can always remember still having the item in my hand moments before we leave a place, and it's always just the little fact of when it left my hands for the last time that I cannot remember. Yet, I can remember stuff that's happened around the time I'm likely to have lost it, just not when and where I lost it! I'm really starting to wonder if I'm haunted.
Anyways, I can't believe I lost the bride's iPod! I don't think I'll get any sleep tonight. It's almost 4am now. I've been writing this for 50 minutes. And nope, I still can't remember where I put it down. It's something that's going to haunt me forever.
Dear Lord, please let us find her iPod tomorrow!
