    It's Stuart Nielson!

    After leaving New Zealand 14 years ago, Martin Henderson is back in New Zealand for his first  Kiwi film since leaving, called Home for Christmas. I actually saw a film crew down at my train station at the bottom of my hill on my way to the gym. There were no actors, and the crew were mostly Pacific Islanders, so I thought it was a small project (I thought these Pacific Islanders were running the whole thing!) and didn't really take much notice. Oh, if only I'd hung around! I might have caught sight of the actor himself!


    This particular picture was taken down at Wellington station (mine's on the other end, at Melling, which is a small line, and doesn't run on the weekend, so it would have been more convenient to film there than any other station).

    The film is about a guy (the director's father) signing up to go to war after a rugby practice and promising his upset and pregnant new wife that he'll be back by Christmas, but doesn't return til 4 and a half years later, by which time his wife has fallen in love with someone else.

    Sounds like a really good film. I can't wait to watch it. Unfortunately, I won't be able to see it in the theatres, cos I won't be in New Zealand.

    "Home for X'mas!"  Not quite possible to be home this year since there are only 10 days left to X'mas.  Any wife should have waited as legally a person is only certified died if he does not show up or gone missing for a period of at least 7 years.
