ASBC- roundtable January 2008 - new visitors record!

Last Friday we had our first roundtable this year . This time we hit a new visitors record! Due to the advance notifications we expected more people but not as many as actually came. I think we hit the 50 people mark! We usually had around 20 to 30 visitors in the second half of 2007...

Let me see if I can recall all the nations our guests came from (they all live for some time in Germany or where even born here): Vietnam, China, Taiwan, HongKong, Korea, Singapore, Japan, England and Nigeria . I'm proud to say that the people of german origin were in a minority!

One of our member held a presentation about her hometown Hangzhou, China and showed a beautiful movie afterwards.

As always this evening was like arranging a big party for friends rather than a stiff business roundtable .

We got disturbed by a group who did a "come read  - leave blue" party . But after they left we could continue with some good Karaoke. Unfortunately the evening was over way too fast.

I think our group is on a real good way. Not only because of the new logo but also the collaborations with other asian-related associations in this area...
