    This morning when I bought the Gleaner, I noticed there was a Christmas cookbook included.  Lots of recipes including one for sorrel.  I love drinking Sorrel during the holidays!  It's a dark red spiced flavour drink, usually with alcohol.  This is what sorrel looks like:

    There are lots of recipes for cakes and cookies too.  I miss baking!    I used to make cookies every year and give them out to friends.  It was a lot of fun making them, the best part was decorating them.  My favourite to make were sugar cookies and cinnamon swirls.

    the drink looks beautiful...i like the color and it must tastes good for i like some sour taste.
    i used to make some home-cooked. i enjoy the process as well as the dainty.

    This is the first I've ever heard of Sorrel.  I'm guessing you don't bake with it in the alcoholic form.  Does it come powdered?  Is it anything like cinnamon?
