I've had enough! I admit I was excited about the beautiful interface and convenient layout of Windows Vista that my new laptop came with. I thought everything would be better with the latest version of Windows, and I was too naive.
The problem first came up when I tried to install GeoDa on my laptop. A minute later it said the operation system is not adequate for running it. The next day I tried to install Mx, the response came really fast this time, and without even taking a try to run the setup file, it told me the program can't be installed properly. It's so frustrating!! Without these two softwares, I can't work at home at all. It's not that I don't like my office, but when I can't stay focused, I have a bunch of other things to do if I'm at home; plus I could never concentrate on study and work for more than half an hour.
How come there're so many useful softwares incompatible with the OS and they still released it?
Companies (monopolies) like Microsoft have trained people well enough to buy something that not ready to work properly, such like its OS upgrade. Recall that Windows XP really sucked until SP2 came out. The same applies to Vista now. All we can do is to wait in patience for the software developers to improve their products and make them compatible eventually, and that might be the time the new OS comes out and starts torturing people who are willing to be the testers....We'll see how it goes.
I really should've sticked with XP for a longer time. Vista is not quite annoying unless I need it for some serious work.
