• I Drove!

  So it's been more than 1 year since I last time drove, and yesterday I drove the Kijang to my dad's office! It's a scary but exciting experience.. to worry about the possibility that i'll stall during uphill drives (yep, it's a manual), getting the ticket from parking lots (always a small hill next to the kiosk), and in traffic jams. And the fact that I couldn't enjoy any jazz music playing on the radio because i was too focused on driving and not hitting the car in front of me. Or behind me.

  Haha.. but I did okay, and I arrived to the office, and back home safely :) *proud of myself*

  Yesterday I was at the office helping my brother write an article for Concept magazine. It's Indonesia's graphic designers' / artists' magazine.. and we sell paper, so an article there is quite something. Then I also saw another article on comic books, on this guy called Chris Lie, who's a graduate from ITB Bandung, and who went to the states to get his Masters degree in Sequential Art (a.k.a comic books), and who's got his own comic book called "Drafted" which has been taken up by New Line Cinema for a movie. So, on a sudden urge, I sent an email to him just to say hi. I think networking is quite an important issue I have to do nowadays, in case I ever leave Imagi and have my own animation/comic/illustration/advertising/post-production company!!

  Anyway, I also learnt about IFS (Imaginary Friends Studios) which is based in Singapore, with artists in both Singapore and Jakarta! I have another urge to buy myself a wacom and start drawing and painting... not that it'll be any good but yeah.. maybe i'll get myself enrolled in classes.. gosh.. or should i stick to learning photography.. i don't have a good camera though.. eek!

  Ok, one thing at a time..

  Gah! I don't know which one should be first!

  I think I should first of all get rid of my old computer and get myself a new working one, so that I can at least run Maya in it. :)
