I suppose this is going to be an entry worth of thought.
Or not.. Heheh..
What is it with boys and their toys? See, we girls play Barbie (ok not really, i never had a real Barbie.. just a doll on a bike.. but it pretty much broke down and became a decoration at home) when we were kids, but after a while we quit dressing Barbie up and setting her on dates with Ken. Instead we do it on ourselves or our friends :P We sorta take it to the next level: the real life.
But boys. Boys play their G.I. Joes, their Hot wheels, and their Batmans when they were kids. And when they grow up? They STILL play with their toys! So the price of the toys have increased tenfold (supposed to be of higher quality..) , but they're basically the same 6 inch figurines of Batman.
You want proof? A few weeks ago, our company made a deal with Hot Toys to sell their Batman and Joker figurines from The Dark Knight movie to Imagi's employees at a discounted price. On last Friday, the goods arrived, and my colleagues who had made the order a few weeks ago went up and got their Jokers and Batmans down. They opened their boxes like a bunch of kids opening their Christmas presents. Then they looked at them under the light with caution, checked out whether Joker's make up was smudged in the right places or not. They compared their Jokers with each other. One even said to another, "The Joker with the best QC is Tom's. Out of all of this floor's Jokers." And then they discussed about the toys' clothings.. and companies other than Hot Toys that made Batman stuff, like Cool Toys (yep, instead of Hot Toys) which makes only clothes for figurines.
They spent at least a good half hour to an hour checking each other's toys out.
So, what is it with boys and their toys?
====================================================================================
Today I bought a mirror from Ikea. We didn't have a full body mirror at home, and every time we have new clothes, we wouldn't be able to see em.. in fact, I'd go into the lift to see if what I was wearing matched with each other.
So I bought a mirror, and nailed it to my wardrobe. Myself.
Ok with the help of my grandma :P
here it is

Drilled the screwnails in by hand. 4 of them. I felt strong like Bob the builder.
Which reminds me of the feat I did 2 weeks ago, when I bought this pair of pink wedges. I bought it.. and then I got home and figured they were too thick (2.5 inch heel), and then I wished "If only I could cut the bottom sole out...."
And that's exactly what I did XD, literally cut it out with a cutter..
and then glued the rubber sole and the rope-thing on the side back on..
No, I don't have a 'before-after' pic.. forgot to take em before i cut the sole out.
So, voila, it's now a 2 inch heel pair of wedges. Still waiting for a day to wear it.

So maybe I won't be able to change my car's tires (never had flat tires before, so you never know) but I definitely can change my tires.
