also been crazy busy with work...and freelance. but am taking a break today. feel like AnD blogging. hahahah!!!
so ok, read some great article, and browse some great site. here goes! hope you all enjoy it!

first, out of all the article in Wallpaper issue November 2007, Richard Sweeney
interview captured my attention. he is the master of folding paper!
paper sculpture!!!! amazing. read his statement on his site. *respect*
he's now potentially making a large installation or chandelier for
Swarovski, after he received the company's award at the New Designers
exhibition in London this year.
alright, enough blabbing. here are some of his work. really 'wow' me. [www.richardsweeney.co.uk]

next artist, Hedi Slimane.
former artistic director for Dior Homme. he's featured in October 2007
issue of Wallpaper. so great that i got these magazine from the company
i work in. i cannot believe they don't appreciate these magazine...i
wonder if i'm working at the right place. hhahaha!!!! but i'm fine so
far. no complain!
so, this issue came with poster 10 amazing fold-out posters by Hedi
Slimane. also feature 2 other artists, Dieter Rams (product designer)
and Jeff Koons (artist). but Hedi is my favorite.
i'm amazingly amaze by his use of black and white, lines, light,
structure and mirror in his work of art. very simple, yet stunning. the
simplicity doesn't come just by being simple. one must go through A LOT
to be able to simplified out things, or subject, HECK, even music.
tht's why i like minimal techno. hahah! (going off topic) but i do
agree at some of his work, it's just BS. got publish cause of
recognition. or maybe i just don't know how to 'appreciate' it. *shrug*
but the publications are mostly for Dior Homme.
but his store/architecture design has more of the simple maximalism
approach...i just made up tht term...basically it means the design is
simple, but he use mirror effect to create the glamour, the maximalism
(things look either busy or A LOT) visual around the space.
captivating.
oh he design Daft Punk set for 02 Wireless Festival, London, 2007. Daft
Punk costumes were designed by him as well for Dior Homme. tht i give
TONS of respect. so sad tht i missed Daft Punk performance in Coney
Island...*sigh*. everyone reading this, Daft Punk concert, DON'T MISS
IT!!!!!!!!!!
alright..here are some of his work. check them out on his site, www.hedislimane.com
