the blasted streets are flooded again!

i wanted to just stay home and snuggle against my pillow this morning. but sadly, i had to come to work because i have so many schedules to supervise today:
    1. two units shooting (one in studio and one in location)
    2. two client presentations both at nestle
    3. one workshop
    4. one casting
    5. one make up test
and one casting that was cancelled. but schedules 1-5 all happened.

normally (during rush hour) i travel about an hour and 15 minutes to work. without traffic traveling time is only about 30-40 minutes depending on who's driving. but this morning? gaahhh!!      i took the bus and i was on the road for like 3 hours!! and it would have been longer had i not sought ways to get to the office. it's been raining since last night so i was mentally prepared to experience traffic and flood on some streets. but i was still surprised. i guess i underestimated the typhoon. either that or i am naive to believe that the government officials already prepared for the "la niña".

but i'm still lucky because i managed to stay DRY between buses and walking and even pedicabs!! while some of my officemates arrived wet from the waist down and most with wet sneakers i don't know how i did it. it just happened.

here are some pix i took of the "flood" (more like a wading pool) right outside our parking lot.

the cars you see here are ON the sidewalk

this one was taken by my friend this morning. this is the same street as above.

and this was last week's typhoon and flood. also the same street.

our main roads are also flooded. water is about thigh deep. i wasn't able to take a picture of that part of the street because there was no room inside the bus to move. we were like sardines in there so no pictures. but believe me when i say that it's like being in a kid's swimming pool, only the water's err... you know.

the water outside our parking lot subsided a bit now. that means i can go home!! yay!! but i dunno if the same is true with our main roads.... i hope so.

    lucky for you then :)
flooding in our area happens a lot. we are located in a residential area. there's a creek just down the street and it overflows even with a little rain. heck it overflows even if a dog pees!! XD
