Alexi Tan's Shanghai gangster film 'Blood Brothers', starring Daniel Wu, Hsu Chi, Chang Chen and Liu Ye features a multi-national cast from Taiwan, Hong Kong (by way of San Francisco, USA) and Mainland China, but the reception in the Mainland seems to be the strongest. The film earned almost US$3 million in its first 10 days, which is rather substatial in the piracy-ridden China market. US$1.6 million came from the opening weekend.
