World Premiere of ICAC’s Better Tomorrow at the 38th HKIFF

The HKIFF announced its very first collaboration with the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC), which is celebrating its 40th Anniversary this year. The HKIFF will showcase a selection of 16 programmes from the ICAC’s TV drama series over the past 40 years. On 26 March, the Festival will also world premiere Adam WONG’s ICAC Investigators 2014 - Better Tomorrow with Dante LAM as the Consultant Director, starring LIU Kai-Chi, Venus WONG, Eddie LAW and Jo KOO, from the new ICAC 2014 series. This screening will kick-off the “The Quiet Revolution: 40 Years of ICAC Drama Series”.
Apart from the World Premiere of Better Tomorrow, selections of classic ICAC TV drama series include Investigation (1978), directed by Ann HUI, Calculated Death (2009) directed by Herman YAU and Rigging the Market (2009) and A Blind Eye (2011), directed by Dante LAM.
