This notifications menu will deliver to you various updates from your friends and artists that you're a fan of. Right now, you can find out about who your friends recently added, birthday reminders, profile updates, and more. We'll be adding more useful items to this menu in later days. Try it out now! f+[K4~)mn"^011/15/07 UPDATE: Hey bear-fans, we've heard your comments and we're definitely discussing here at [alive not dead] how we can improve this feature and reduce the "noise" like you've guys have suggested. In particular, for heavy-duty [alive not dead] users we recognize that there's alot of "second-degree" notifications (i.e A, B, and C are fans of "D") so we're discussing how we can improve these types of notifications (better grouping and hiding excessive details). In addition, we will soon provide options that allow you to control which type of notifications will be shown in the menu and what level of detail to provide. Hopefully these will help the overall readability and usability of this new feature. Nonetheless, as we launch new features that send out notifications down the road, we definitely still believe that this new menu will become one of the most useful portions of the site and we hope that you guys will find it useful, too.
