  • a little sense of achievement?

    this has been on my mind for a few days now, so i better pen it down before i lose this idea...


    i have a reason to believe that people, especially adults, who like gaming (video games, computer games, online games) are somewhat not very contented with their life... so gaming acts like an outlet for them to release the tension that has built up in themselves...bcuz while gaming, one is absorbed into another world that is away from reality: the troubles in life, the frustrations are all gone, and every winning is a sense of achievement that may be lacking in their actual life...

    i realized this bcuz, i too have been gaming these days 
    tried not to get myself hooked on games bcuz knowing myself, it would be hard to lay them down... however, i guess i needed some sense of achievement...
    it's not like i'm playing really challenging games, but just simple games... and even that can make me feel somewhat good about myself...

    instead of playing games, i think i should reflect about my life... what is lacking, and what is to be achieved, instead of hiding in a surreal world playing worthless games...

    Hmm...that may be the case. I think people just want to escape from reality for a little bit like you said.
