(this entry was written at 1145pm on Tues night)
was supposed to be sleeping,
after being in the
freeeaking cold exam hall for 2 1/2 hours today while it was pouring
and thunder-ing outside, my head was pounding madly and so i just took
some panadol pills, about to go to sleep, but realised i have too many
thoughts to be cleared before i can actually fall asleep.
so speaking of EXAM,
i
(still) can't believe it, that i almost missed my paper (french)
today!!! i have NO IDEA how i always had the thought that my paper was
on wednesday. so even while i was checking the exam venue and seat
number before i left home today, i did NOT notice the DATE! while i was
out trying to STUDY (thinking i still have a lot of time till tomo), i
got a msg from my dear classmate Amanda telling me that she'll see me
at 5pm right? i was like, OMFG. the paper is TODAY! called her to
double-check, though i was pretty sure i made a mistake. and yes, i
made the biggest booboo ever, in my last semester of sch! and luckily
it was still a few hours away to the paper, so i had time to make my
way to sch. omg, Amanda, you are my life-saver! i should also be
thanking the lucky stars for blessing upon me because if i ever miss
this paper, i'd have to pay sch fees for another semester just to
re-take this paper! yes, STUPID char. BIMBO char. WTF was wrong with
me??
anyways, at least it's finally over and i DID take the paper, so i could AT LEAST pass, i hope (fingers crossed).
so that was the DRAMA for the day.
now for the thoughts running through my head..
well, FYP and school is officially over (one more paper on friday), 4 years of school, just like that. so what's next?
a
cab driver was talking to me about how you have just about 50 years of
your life to enjoy life to the fullest and after that it just slows
down (as you lose your energy and become bedridden, perhaps).
basically, life is short. so we should really think about what we want
and can do while we are still young.
of course, the main
priority now is to get a good job so my parents can retire happily and
i can pay off my debts. but i do not want to be tied down and be a
slave to WORK. At the same time, i want to be doing things that i
enjoy, learning new things perhaps, things that i couldn't do as a
student because well, money is (almost) everything.
so i call these mid-year resolutions.
TRAVEL.
not
many people are fortunate enough to be travelling around when they are
still young (and so i really thank my parents for all the experiences
that i've had)
well, i've been fortunate enough to be able to go
to Paris to study, when i was 19. and that was a life-changing
experience, definitely. totally started my whole love for travelling.
and
then i was also given the opportunity to go work in the US. another
great experience. made great new friends, fell in love (and out of
love), but still, the greatest memories are always in my head.
so
going for the grad trip to europe next week is almost fulfilling
already (given we won't have much time to do this once we start working)
LEARNING NEW THINGS...
i want to learn new things, that i've always wanted to. dance/music (any form of dance, and maybe the guitar/piano/drums).
and
of course, the learning process can continue, because i really do (and
will) miss school. So yea, I hope to get a masters at some point of
time down the road..
maybe more will come up on the list, but for now that's about it.
Europe, here i come.
