While I was writing an email to Derrick Fong from the office about playing the new Street Fighter IV game at my place, a thought came to me and so I wrote...

"Btw, just thought of a sketch idea… ‘Wall street fighter’ with dudes in suits fighting each other"

Then, only two short weeks after that thought, we now have the YouTube premiere of...

Derrick and Simon (of CBfresh) took that simple idea and made this amazing video in the short period of time.  Big props for the excellent job in the execution of the idea and the great Special Effects.  There's no doubt that CBfresh does amazing work in super short time.

CBfresh = great ideas + quick quality production

The cast features CBfresher: Simon Yin as Nikkei (E. Honda), Derrick Fong as M.Lynch (M. Bison), along with Rob Lok as S&P500 (Guile).   The rest of the fighters are these guest stars from AliveNotDead: Michael Chan as R.O.I. (Ryu), Boon Khoo as the Fed (Sagat), Shan Chan as Fannie Mae (Chun Li), Peapops Dow Jones (Crimson Viper), Sam as Goldman (Ken), Bhavini Raval as tech support (Dhalsim) and B-boy Matt as the Intern (Blanka).

Everyone that knows anything about Street Fighter and the Financial market are going to love this.  The stock market index may be going down, but the comedy index had just shot way up.

Please share this with your friends, family, tax accountants, or even your stock brokers.  Keep helping us spread the word on this video and CBFresh.

  • Obama times

    2009-01-21 10:37AM / 標準BLOG

I got to watch the Obama inauguration with my CBfresh boys and some American AnD friends last night.  Thanks Stephen and Patrick for hosting it.  It went to 2am here in HK, but it was well worth staying up for.  It was an historic event, and hopefully a big turning point for the US and the world.

Watching it, I realized a few of the things I missed about the United States of America.  The diversity of the people, the belief that anyone can reach their full God given potential, the belief in democracy, and the freedom to pursue happiness.  Seeing the huge crowd braving the sub zero degree weather was inspiring as well.  It reminds us that greatness is achieve not by one person alone, but by the collective support of the people that stand behind the man.  During the oath, you can see the loving support that Michelle Obama provides for her husband and I'm sure her support is so important in making Barack obama the man that he is.  And behind her, there's a nation of people that are there to support Barack to provide them the direction, inspiration and leadership for the common purpose of a better life.

After the oath, the speech itself didn't seem to have much quotable moments like the acceptance speech on election night.  But it doesn't mean it's any less important.  This speech help remind us what America is all about and what American can accomplish together.  It goes on to remind us that each one will need to do their part and contribute to making America great.  At this point we're beyond 'yes WE can' and it's time to roll up our sleeves for the next step of execution, which mean 'now WE do'.  To this I say, 'yes WE will'

God Bless America and and our new Commander-in-Chief...  You're the realization of uncommon greatness in one man.  And as one of Millions of Americans around the world, I will stand behind your leadership and play my part in rebuilding America for a better tomorrow.
  • Merry Christmas to Everyone

    2008-12-24 5:02PM / 標準BLOG

After working at Rockefeller center in NYC (Christmas Tourist central of USA) the last few years, it's no wonder I am missing the Christmas spirit here in HK.  The Christmas lights in TST is nice, but it lost that magical affect it had on me as a kid.  Instead of seeing the tree at 30 Rock, what I see everyday now are signs for holiday sales and further reductions to lure customers in.  May be I spend too much time in the malls in Central, but I can't help it working at the IFC and having to pass by all those shops a few times a day.  I think I was getting too sold on the whole materialistic aspect of Christmas and I really need to check myself from getting caught up in it.

After I read James Mar's blog  about his gifts of 4 ducks and a goat and it inspired me to do the same.  They have some really nice gifts that you can give to the needy people of our world.  This past year was full of ups and downs for me, but there are many blessings that I need to really be thankful for.

For Christmas, I thought it's appropriate to get a sheep to provide wool and milk for the needy.  As you know Jesus was born in a Manger where Shepherds and their flock came to welcome Him to the world.  I got this in my sister's honor and for my niece because she's born in the year of the sheep and one year she played a sheep in the Christmas play... and I played one of the wise men.  I was young then, and I hated being on stage back then too.

For the AnD crew, i decided to donate to the Sichuan fund.  It's December now and more than half a year from the earthquake disaster, but I encourage people to remember there are still many needy people in that region that needs our help in the cold winter.  AnD were great in responding to the disaster on their site and urging us all to give, so I thought it's appropriate to make this donation at Christmas in their honor.

There are also many other great donation choices there.  I saw you can get a whole school for US$22,000.  Imagine that... for the price of a car you can bring education to many children.

Even when the economy is not going so well, I encourage you all to give this Christmas.  There are many others worst off in the world, we need to realize how lucky we all are.

Check link below for all the donation options:

I hope you all can count your blessings this year and enjoy a very Merry Christmas.
