  • Hire Me! I'm a Cyclone!

Thought I would add this "Windows for Management" from a comedy website. I am really trying to keep my smile during this job search, now in its second month.

I'm a cyclone. One of my promising prospects is Communications Specialist for the local Red Cross chapter. They need a high-energy person with a diversity of skills to handle all those natural disasters. Hire me! I'm a cyclone! I'm a force of nature!

Other prospects include communications assoc. with a big local corporation (good pay, interesting work, and benefits) and marketing coordinator for an architectural firm (hey, I like architecture!).

As most of you know, I loved freelancing....but my family needs steady income. I know many others are in the same boat.

I am determined to find a good job. One that uses my skills--primarily writing. I am 32 years old, and I need to think long term. If I take a secretarial-type gig, I risk looking flaky if I quit it for something better.

    Must.....keep....going.....

Hahaha, "Windows for Management" would be a wonder program!

But I feel you on being a cyclone, and being a fellow freelancer I understand how the search for a steady income is needed.

But I've been reading a lot of your interviews on Ningin and you'd be an asset to whoever hired you. Keep your hopes up!

You would be an asset wherever you end up girl. The whole job search thing gets kinda discouraging sometimes but it's important to keep you head held high.  I haven't had much luck either and with the state of the economy now, I'm not too hopeful.
To answer your question, my last position was in marketing for a home fashions brand and before that I was doing photo production and creative services management.  I've started doing photography again for myself recently and think maybe I want to do something on the side with that.  You know what it's like when you have that need to be creative :D  Thanks for your kind words!  Wendy posted more photos on her page :)

I personally don't mind looking flaky if I quit to take something better. I have no qualms about inconveniencing others, using them til I no longer need them. Does that make me bad?

    Relocation? No.

I'm sure something will turn up. Hey, holiday season is coming. There are those seasonal retail jobs to look forward to...to tie you over. ;P

Just a thought came to mind.  Have you ever thought about relocating to another place?
