    I'm not really familiar with Takashi Miike's other films, but apparently this one is a lot different... no sex and not much violence. Its about two Japanese guys who are both in search of a jade deposit in the remote mountains of Yunnan, China, one is a typical salaryman and the other is a yakuza enforcer sent to make sure the salary man's company repays a bad debt.

    Their adventure to the remote area is somewhat humorous... Mako plays the local guide who speaks in comedically broken Japanese. but the story really doesn't go very far once they finally get to the village where they jade is supposed to be. Its beautifully filmed, but I'm not exactly sure what was going on after a while and what all the symbolism was supposed to be showing about the human condition... :-P

     
    oh yeah, and then there's the flying. :-P

    i'll give a 3/10...

    This film is based on the fantasy novel of the same title by Makoto Shiina(椎名誠),so I guess there is no sex and not much violence in this film.
    I've seen his "DEAD OR ALIVE" series only,but I couldn't really understand the third film...
