East Asia Capital Concert - part 1

On Saturday and again on Monday Media Asia Group(寰亞綜藝娛樂集團有限公司) held a BIG BIG concert at the Asia World Expo Center. It was a showcase type show featuring many top names in the HK music scene:

Including Andy Lau, Sammi Cheung, Miriam Yeung, Richie Ren and amongst many others, Terence Yin and 24Herbs. (according to a list i found online its: Andy Lau, Sammi Cheng, Andy Hui, Denise Ho, Miriam Yeung, Richie Ren, Ivana Wong, Wilfred Lau, Charles Ying, Fama, Jill Vidal, Charmaine Fong, Terence Yin, Cherry Wong, Chet Lam, 24Herbs, at17, Pong Nan and new recruit Bosco Wong Chung Chak).

East Asia also apparently owns the Capital Artists' (華星唱片) catalog, which means the classic songs of Anita Mui and Leslie Cheung.... (and Roman Tam for that matter).

I wasn't able to get a seat, but thats OK, I'm not much for canto-pop (80s, 90s or 2000's), but I was able to get in through the alivenotdead artists and I snuck up to the venue for a few of the performances... namely:
woah, who's this fresh faced crooner with the gravity defying hair?

Actually Terence didn't just sing, he did a duet... with none other than Miriam Yeung.

I wonder what words were passed at this point of the show? "Terence, you're stepping on my toes!" or perhaps "Miriam, next time no garlic pizza before the show!"

The other performance I really wanted to see was 24Herbs. They were part of the 'hip-hop medley' section in the middle of the show (to wake up everyone who may have fallen asleep during the bajillianth canto-ballad?) :-P

It was 24Herbs + Fama (6-wing and C-Kwan) + Charmaine Fong (soon to be here):
Yes, the entire arena was full. they did a unique center stage configuration (~12k seats?)

They performed 24Herbs' new Roman Tam 激光中 cover (click to learn more about it)

Lok Wing was the only one I got a half decent picture of... I was actually using Doryuk's camera most of the time, so he should hopefully have some good pics in the 24Herbs album section soon.

I took a few pics backstage, but I don't know if its cool to share them... I'll tempt fate and share this:

And last but not least, major props to 24+Terence for making the big leagues and adding something fresh to the mix:

Terence was seen to sing alone for the first time.

It is wonderful with the duet with Miriam Yeung.

I didn't know Terence was a serious singer other than in the movies. He should put a snippet of a song on his blog. I'd like to hear him sing.

oh cool that you went to support the AnD artists! =) good pics too... looks like a fun concert with a variety of music too... =D
