Fiat 24...

Last night I took the interns and some friends from Japan up to Kowloon Bay for a random event...   24 Herbs was performing at a launch event for a new car made by Fiat...

it was kind of strange event.  The event was to promote the new Fiat 500...  not exactly sexy, not exactly hip-hop...  but they had 24 Herbs and DJ Miss Yellow provide some musical entertainment.  ;-)


i think they win the award for biggest backdrop... in this case the entire front of their showroom was decorated... 

We got a 'special thanks to' -- yeah!


Special guests 24Herbs came and did their autograph thing and the press ...


They had some announcements and some special guests from Fiat... the MC girl is apparently a TV personality... she was QUITE attractive...


I didn't get a good picture of the unveil, but basically they had fire extinguishers shoot out and the car raised up from behind the curtains... fancy.

Then 24 took the stage and did a pretty long set...

Like with Adidas, they incorporated the host company's name into the routine... I noticed that people in HK pronounce it 'FIAAYT'  whereas in the US we pronounce it 'FIAHHT'...


I should mention that since this was basically a big auto center, there was no central AC, just in the back, so on stage it was super hot...  poor Phat is covered in sweat...


After the show there were drinks, some hors d'œuvre...  i didn't get a chance to sit in the car... but i'm a Original / New Beetle Fan... not a Fiat 500 fan... :-P

(every time i hear the name Fiat, i think of what my aunt who used to live in Italy told me it stood for... F.I.A.T....)



Miss Yellow was spinning in the back too... i enjoyed her selections. ;-)

My and my posse left around 10, we stopped at the new Honeymoon desert in Hitec for a late snack -

i was disappointed they were sold out of mango pancakes, but the 'peanut sweet balls' were not bad. ;-)
