Ip Man (葉問) Hong Kong Premiere Photos

As I mentioned in my Ip Man Sneak Preview Review,  I got to attend the Hong Kong Premiere of Donnie Yen's new film 'Ip Man' (葉問) on Tuesday night (very last minute, I didn't know about it until about two hours before).  火曜日晩イプ・マンの映画のプレミールイベントを参加した。ちょっと晩く着きましたから、あまり写真撮りません！ごめん！

Actually I arrived late so I missed most of the sign board appearances by the cast and special guests:

It was at the JP Cinemas in CWB.  It was packed by the time i got there.


I have no idea who was up there,   all I know is that it wasn't Donnie Yen. :-P



I did spot the beautiful Miss Lynn Hung (熊黛林,  who plays Ip Man's wife in the film).  She is easy to spot, since she's like 5'9" and looked quite elegant...

Turns out when the screening finished all the main stars were there in the theater (Donnie, Producer Raymond Wong, the major cast members, etc)  (i didn't see Simon Yam or Sammo Hung though).

Terence and I went to the after party at Pi.   I didn't talk to Donnie at any length but Terence and Cecilia are long time acquaintances:



Also Vincent was there and we talked to the Japanese actor who played the main bad guy.  His name is Ikeuchi Hiroyuki (池内博之),  apparently he's done some well known TV or movies before in Japan.  I asked him how he got the part in a HK/China film, he said the producers sent someone to Tokyo to cast his part and he landed the role...  この映画の悪役が池内博之だった。実はナイスガイだった。僕の友達ヴィンセント・コクはかれと一緒写真撮った：
