More Friends in Town...

it seems like i will never have any peace...  since February there has pretty much been an unending stream of friends (and relatives) coming through town. 

Last week it was my friend サ-ちゃん from Japan and her friend マ-ちゃん.  Neither had been to HK before and they wanted to do a few days of shopping and sightseeing.  Unfortunately because of work, they could only come in the middle of the week, so I could only meet up with them at nights after work.  Their first night in town I took them to TST for dinner and then to see the night time scenery.

最近たくさん外国からの友達香港に来た。先週僕の友達サちゃんと彼女の友達マ-ちゃん。彼女二人は香港に居た事がないから、僕は始め夜TSTまでつれて行った。写真を見て下さい：

First stop was the Avenue of the Stars:

Not happy w/ the picture though... if i was using a casio you'd actually be able to see the skyline! :-(

They didn't really know 99% of the actors on the Avenue of the Stars, but there were some exceptions:

The reason we were there was the Symphony of Lights show, which started at 8:

not bad considering I was only holding the camera in my hands.


they were quite impressed.

After the show, we passed the Olympics promotional display nearby... its light-up mascots doing various Olympic events... Pauline C blogged about these guys a few weeks ago, including the weird ones who look like they're engaging in sex acts:

oh, that one on the right is a bit strange... yes I know air pistol shooting is an Olympic event, (and china does pretty well at it),  but seeing the Olympic mascot packing heat looks a bit odd...


マ-ちゃん was impresed...

Afterwards I took them on the Star Ferry to Central:

Not sure why, maybe their fingers were tired, but instead of V's, they displayed their beverages instead.
