Rack's 1 Year Anniversary

Last last Thursday was the first anniversary of Racks Hong Kong... 

In case you never read this blog... you may not know, but Racks is a pretty kickass pool hall/bar here in HK.  We pretty much end up there at least once a week on average, and sometimes much more often...  The boss is none other than Min Yoo, so we wanted to come out and show our support!  My friend サちゃん was still in town, so we headed down early to check out some of the media stuff out front...

This is the first time I've seen Andy On dressed up,  looks sharp! Ana R's interview was pretty much 'I love Racks!'

After they went inside I suddenly noticed the reporters all staring at me and aiming their cameras my way.  Oh wow, what's going on? maybe finally I am being recognized by the HK Press?  oh no, of course not... after a second one of the photographers started giving me the 'get out of the way!' wave and I turned and looked behind me to realize why...

Guess who was walking towards us from across the street... 

May some day people will be shoo-ing Daniel Wu aside so they can get a picture of me...  
OR maybe not... :-P

I should mention that this was the day before the start of the big Rugby Sevens tournament in HK... a weekend where a plague of drunken Australian and New Zealand Rugby fanatics decent on the city like locusts...   in this case one drunken guy who came up the street screaming and crying... the press, who were sitting idle waiting for the next star snapped a few pics of him too. :-P

サちゃん tried her hand at pool and I took her picture with Vincent.  As I mentioned in the Avenue of the Stars blog from a few days back,  she doesn't really know anyone in HK entertainment short of Jet and Jackie... 　サちゃんは誰でも香港芸の人を知りません、ジェットとジャーキーだけ。。。


Contrary to what you may think,  there's actually a LOT of artists on AnD that we haven't met yet in person... especially as we've gotten bigger and bigger and had a lot more referrals.  One pleasant surprise was the fact that we bumped into none other than Yungyung Yu.  She had no idea who Patrick and I were til we explained - we are Rottendoubt and Etchy!


By the way,  Yungyung recently broke her hand, requiring surgery!
Please wish her well here!!!
