another typhoon is hitting HK right now... i think the center will pass over Lantau in a few more hours. actually right now the weather out the window is not too bad, just some rain and a bit of wind. not as bad as the last one (yet)....

l stocked up on cereal and milk last night... so its just me, the olympics, my frosted flakes and working from home for the rest of the day...

interesting to see how many people are online right now (fellow HK home-bounders like me)... what did people did during typhoons before the internet existed. :-P

ps - way to go US Men's volleyball team! and also i wanted to say that I enjoyed watching the equestrian finals on TV last night... its lucky they finished last night and not today!

I'll bet a lot of babies are born nine months after a typhoon. That was a phenomenon I read about after blackouts in NY. Well, you have fun Tony the Tiger, lol.

maybe it's just the calm before the storm. i'm hoping for a 10 cuz i've never experienced one in the 5 yrs i've been here

Hope it doesn't cause too much damage, I've only heard about Typhoon 10s from friends who've experienced it, and they don't sound nice at all.

a very nice unexpected long weekend! i went storm watching and it was quite an experience. as for the rest of the folks in hk, i bet they are either at mj or karaoke.

Pre-internet typhoon entertainment probably consisted of gambling or meditation. Now, even during incredible storms, we're too busy to switch gears.

Go USA beach volleyball!!! That was an awesome game. =D
