So Today i would like to express to everyone my love for spider-man. I used to climb up the side of my house as a kid because of stan lee's creation. My mom was not happy to say the least.
But spider-man like any cultural Icon influences different cultures in different ways. you all surely know toby maguire in his interpretation of Peter parker directed by the great Master Sam "Evil Dead" Raimi but there were others. spider-man is alive in the hearts of people around the world. So Here are few examples of that.
here is a classic. the japanese spider-man. this was amazing, if any of you ever saw it. it was a real live action acrobatic spider-man, completely re-invented for the Japanese audience. insane, but classic non-the less.
lets compare and contrast. Now, the US TV series of spider-man was cool for it's time, until you find out what they did in japan at the same time. I think the Japanese got it right, but you be the judge. ok maybe not the robot and the car, but the other stuff.
And Now this is the film I wish I could take credit for. but alas I can't.

Wow, I never knew there was a Voltron-like, Spiderman series in Japan either. I was big into him too. I used to have a bunch of Amazing and Spectacular Spiderman comics. I tried to get every Marvel Team-Up with him in it too. Of course I had to lose them all when my grandparents took my collection to goodwill. Wow, that was traumatizing...I'm depressed now.
