Happy (belated) New Year!

Hi everyone!  Happy new year!  Hope you all had a wonderful and relaxing holiday.  For me, I really didn't feel the whole Christmas-y spirit this year.  I don't know why but perhaps it was the delay in wintry weather and the speed in which the end of the year crept up that made me feel like Christmas just came and went.

I was in Vegas during Christmas and strangely enough, shops were open and open quite late!  I had mistakenly thought that stores would be closed so I had planned on going to the Grand canyon... bad weather made us turn back after 2 hours on the highway so we just ended up exploring the area around Lake Mead.  It was interesting to frolic in the desert on Christmas day - it was super windy and quite cold but I managed to take some pretty pics

I'm at the Hoover Dam! (went to Vegas 4 times and this is the first time I actually ventured out of the city!!!)
