Insanely hot...

7個評論There was a mini heat-wave this past weekend...starting from Friday and hopefully ending tomorrow, temperatures have soared to 33-35 degrees celsuis (which I believe is around 90 something degrees fahrenheit) I left work today, got into my car and the temperature inside my vehicle was 45 degrees celsius... OMG... I almost passed out.
It's currently storming pretty badly outside... crazy lightning and thunder show going on
Anyway, despite the heat, I managed to hang out a lot outdoors this past weekend. Went to the beach (man-made) at Gull lake this weekend... it was surprisingly pleasant. I normally don't enjoy hanging out in the sun too much but we played in the water quite a bit so it was nice and cool. I also remembered to slather on the sunscreen and kept reapplying for fear of getting a nasty burn. I also kept a hat on and even brought an umbrella!I had my second last dragonboat practice yesterday and my last one will be on Wednesday. Then there will be a challenge race on Friday and the real races start this weekend. I'm so excited!

Anyway... since it was so hot today, I went out at lunch to get an iced cappuccino. When I was waiting in line, I felt a pair of eyes staring at me... a slightly unnerving feeling. I finished ordering, then left. As I walked to my car, a man approached me (the one that was staring at me inside) and was like... "Excuse me... are you Mongolian???" - to which I replied... uh no
.... and he was like... "really???.. seriously???"".... omg..hahah.. I think it was because the guy was like, 5 foot nothing... and me in heels on a good day is about 5'7"... hahaha.. I must've looked a giant to him
