The Bat and the boat

Finally watched The Dark Knight on Friday and it was one INTENSE movie.  It was a very good movie overall and the story, the stunts, and the acting blew me away.  If you haven't seen it yet, it's definitely worth going to the theatres for!

It also helps that Christian Bale is super hot!


anyway, had my sprint races today and WHOA.. .it was exhausting!  I had to be down at the docks by 9:00 AM and the first race started around 10:30.  We raced twice, and lost both races because we had paddlers from a different team on our boat (we were short people)  They had different paddling styles and it really messed up our rhythm.

We had to wait until 1:00 for the final results - we ended up in the top 6 and so we had one final heat with 2 other boats.  We managed to finish second in that race.

Overall, we really improved our times from the first race - from 2:01 to 1:52, to finally, 1:41sec!
Our coach was really pleased with our performance and I think it will help us with the training as we have 1 more month to go!
