• My celebrity twin?

  Have any of you ever been told that you look like someone else, particularly someone famous or well-known?
  
  Recently I was told that I look like Hong Kong singer and actress Karen Mok. I've actually heard a number of people tell me this before over the past several years, the first person to do so being my mother-in-law. To be honest, I don't see that much of a resemblance... except in a few photos that I came across of her where I can maybe see a slight resemblance in our smiles or lower face structure...? But if a number of different people think so, then maybe there's something they're seeing that I can't see myself when I'm looking in the mirror or looking at photos of myself?
  
  I guess it's not unusual to occasionally meet people with facial features that remind you of either someone who you know or someone in the public eye. I have a few friends who I thought resembled other people. I swear that one of my friends reminds me of Miriam Yeung, a HK singer and actress. And AnD artist Gloria Wong looks a lot like my friend Vikkie, and I even told Gloria this the first time I met her!
  
  Well, two years ago, I actually saw Karen Mok in person in Causeway Bay and had the opportunity to take a photo with her. I figured that it'd be interesting to have a picture of us side-by-side for better comparison, so I asked her to take a picture with me, and had my sister to take a photo of us using my cell phone (since neither of us were carrying a camera that day). We posed together for the phone camera, but unfortunately, when I checked the phone for the picture afterwards, it wasn't there. Apparently my memory was full from too many text messages and the photo was never captured! D'OH! There goes my opportunity for a photo with my "celebrity twin"... =P
