Sigh just when I am preparing old photos to do a self intro when I got some bad news about my dad. His heart has not been good the past few years and during September of 2006, he went for a procedure that puts a stent in one of his arteries that was blocked. After that he had to take a variety of pills to thin his blood and stuff.

Since that procedure his health has not been good and he has been getting rashes on his body, we went to the docs and he said that its an allergic reaction. We don't know if this allergic reaction is due to the stent in his heart or the medicine he is taking as he is allergic to many things especially to iron which is one component of the stent. If he is allergic to the medication, there is a possibility to change it to something else but if he is allergic to the iron in the stent, he will need an open heart surgery to remove it.

Recently the allergy reaction has been quite severe and he went to the doc who first said its a virus infection and now say it could be something more serious. He was referred him to a skin specialist. The condition is called Erythema Multiforme which can be cured in mild cases but can lead to death in severe cases.

Although I don't think he is having the severe form as yet, I cannot help imagining if I lose my dad now. He has been a great dad and had stood by us in times of trouble and we by him. We have braved through many things together and I wish for him a happy and long life.

My dad just got his report and it is classified minor and not the life threatening SJS. Phew!!
