More Music

Now that I've mentioned how important music has been in my life, I realize my 10 year old daughter, Kim is sadly lacking. Sure she loves chorus class in school and hums along to video game themes, she has not really had a fave artist. Well she does like Weird Al Yankovic songs. I blame myself in that respect. I remember teaching her to clean up her toys by singing (to the tune of "give it away", )

Oh well, there's still time I guess. I remember a friend of mine who was still into music from The Muppet show when we were in Junior High! I tried to help. I brought over an experimental 3-disc album by Godley and Creme  called "Consequences" .  It was not really a rock opera, not a musical either. Hard to explain, but the theme was that the weather around the world has gone crazy. The first album of the three is a lot of sound effects and music that represent floods, fire and wind and waves going berserk and overpowering the human race. It was a gamble as some people don't get it. But my friend, being very into British comedy like Monty Python, she seemed to like it a lot. It opened the door to more serious music for her I hope!
