The house competition was sick. I was a bit sad that Pino and my friend Kenji (last year's winners) didn't enter the competition this year. But entries where of a really high level: House Dance Project (from Japan, though the crew actually includes NY dancers such as this year's judge Which way Sha), Wanted Posse's Mamson & Crappy, Babson (also from Wanted Posse) & a girl), the German guys (OG & Adnan), Footwork king from Chicago (who were only doing footwork as the name suggest and were therefore doing a different style than others), dance Fusion (Sekou and another guy).
We had different style's of house dance to see: usual house dance, as said above footwork (only a subpart of house dance), afro-house.
I was mostly agreeing with judges decision except for the semi-final of house dance project (HDP) against some other crew (footwork king?). Shuho & Hideki, from HDP are great house dancers but for some reasons they were focusing a bit too much on technique and lacked the feeling. When my house teacher heard that they won, he was like 'What the ...'
Final was very good from both side but the Germans really had a lot of feeling nd ennergy that made them won

Locking
Not much too say about locking. The competition was good. Japan had 3 teams entering that competition
The first surprise for me was the elimination in the first round of Japan's Bitter Box Sisters, composed of Yukari (last year's finalist) & Risa (last year's judge). I had already seen Yukari dance live in Nagoya and they were definitely not giving their best, maybe they though that it would pass and wanted to keep their combos for later.
Both semi-finals were great especially, the first one. Seijis, Kae the Funk & Seiji (who was teaming up with Yukari last year) against 2 crazy Swedish, that ended up winning.
The final between Shuffle! (JP) & the Swedish was great! And I was happy not to be a judge because both side deserved to win.

Since I began dancing in 2007, I want to dance at every single moment. Be it house dance or hip Hop (New Style), I just can't stop dancing. Of course, I'm not forgetting about popping and locking though I'm not learning those at the moment. But I'm a huge fans of groups like Hilti & Bosch, Co-Thkoo, Umin,....
Be ready to see me at Juste Debout 2009 (in the audience, of course :-D)

Besides dance my other love is wushu. I've been practicing it in and out for years (but I'm still very bad at it as I can't seem to find time to train seriously although it's far better now).

I really enjoy to learn new languages. I currently speak French, English, Dutch (still learning) and Japanese (still learning) and the next on the list will be Mandarin.
