fear for haidressers

What is it with most hairdressers? Why can't they just give me a simple hair trim?

Last weekend I went to a hairdresser that my friends were raving about...
I have a fear for hairdressers...I don't get my hair cut often, coz every time the hairdresser cuts off too much! I used to go to a great one in Beijing, but he moved... Then I found a good one in Shanghai, but he moved to Hangzhou...WHY?!

Anyway...so the first thing I told the hairdresser was: I don't like too much layering...really...  not too many layers...I told him to cut about 2cm from the length and that I wanted my bangs on jaw length. I was very clear... I used a lot of body language too.
When he started cutting I picked up a mag to read.. when I felt him doing something on the top part of my head, I looked up and saw him cutting off a big chunk of hair. I was like NOOO! I don't want bangs in the back! Then he started babbling something about that it would look nicer like that. How on earth would that look nicer? I don't care, I don't want that! It's my hair and I have to walk around with it! So I thought I had tamed him a little bit and I didn't say no more... he started combing a side part and cut off a little bit... then he picked up a big piece more towards the back and with a very skillful movement he cut off more than half! AAAAH!
I said I didn't want him to cut off that much and then he said: "ah, you will get used to it!"
YOU WILL GET USED TO IT??? That really pissed me off... how can somebody say that?! I think he got a little bit scared becoz I got a bit angry.. and he disappeared for a while after he was "finished" with my hair...My friend had to call him out coz he was waiting for his turn.

So I ended up with a lot of layering after all... I didn't ask him for his own creative input...and it's not even a nice cut at all... I'm glad it will grow back...I will never go back to this hairdresser...

So that's why I don't like going for a haircut... Most hair dresses always get too excited when they see long black hair and they can't control themselves anymore...
The hairstylist from the tv show also kept saying to me: "I want to cut it, I want to cut it!" Scary...
