  Thanks for the add.  Must take a deeper look at your blog and your official web site when I get a minute.  I just walked in the door, literally, from my yearly pilgrimage to that land of museums (and monuments, none of which I ever visit) that is called Washington, DC.  Funny how in all the years I've been making this yearly pilgrimage to DC, it has never felt like the "seat of empire".  I always wonder what the experience is like for the hordes of foreign visitors, though.  Saw an Obama memorabilia shop at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History.  It was a very strange experience--to see the president treated like a celebrity.  I couldn't tell if it was mostly US citizens or foreign visitors buying.  I just kept on walking--I had my Smithsonian Book of the Giant Panda, which was the purpose of my trip to the gift shop, firmly in hand and I was done with museums, all museums, for the day and the trip.
