I went to Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition centre today. It seemed there were no female orthopaedic surgeons. There are a few women. They seemed to be wives of doctors.
I went there to attend SICOT, annual international prthopaedic conference.I wasn't a member of SICOT. I had to register. They charged me 8500 HKD. Wow so expensive
I nearly said I would go shopping instead. The receptionist asked me if I was a student. Well..I'm a kinda student. I work for my university sometimes and they never pay me. They say I'm a student, so they don't need to pay for me. It was good that I looked like a student. In the end, I paid 1450 HKD for the conference as a trainee.
These are what I got ... a black bag, programme, name card and a discount ticket for Ocean park!

In the morning I listened to spinal deformity and spinal injury . It was supposed to finish at 1pm. But I had to leave for another room 10 minutes before it ended.
To get my lunch!!!!!!!
They have free lunch boxes but they don't have enough for all doctors. I could get sandwiches, salad, fruit, cookies and a pack of orange juice. There were 3 choices of sandwiches from Harbour kitchen. It was better than Japan. Usually there is no choice.

I was eating and listening to new implants for total knee replacement operation. It was pretty interesting. I used to do total knee replacement and I belive it is the best way for severe osteoarthritis.
Time to sleep...since I have to be at conference early tomorrow. Nite Nite!
