It's been a while since I've blogged. I've been busy with work since people were on vacation and I had to cover, but things are almost back to normal now. I can't believe it's almost the holidays. Work picks up a bit as people are trying to finish projects before they leave for wherever. It's kind of weird, since being in an agency that specializes in creating catalogs and direct mail, the holidays were really over as those projects have ended. I finished working on the holiday books back in August, so when I see it appearing now, it's kind of like going back in time. Now, I'm working on spring and summer projects...it'll be interesting if we had to plan a "springtime" photoshoot in the middle of december. But, oh well, we always find a way. :)

Thanks to all who wrote back regard my last quick entry about an earthquake that ran through the SF Bay Area earlier this week and wishing for us to be safe. We're OK, but that was the biggest shaker I've experienced since the 1989 "big one". This recent one, rolled about 20 secs (I think). I was sitting in the dining room and the room started to shake, I yelled, "EARTHQUAKE!"  to my wife who was standing at the top of the stairs and she said, "what, I can't hear you"...I screamed, "EARTHQUAKE" again...."What?!?!?"....finally, I screamed again, "THERE'S AN EARTHQUAKE RIGHT NOW!!! SEE THE LIGHTS SHAKING?!?!?  GRAB THE KIDS!" So, during that whole exchange it was still shaking. But it was shaking about 5 secs before I yelled and during that time, I thought is was a convoy of semi-trailers rumbling through. It took me a while before I realized, that it was an earthquake, then a bit longer to know that I should grab my son as he was just wandering about. Shame on me...I was just yelling his name to come to my lazy butt...like a 1.75 year old would understand. So, as I was checking online the magnitude, I blogged it.

So, hope everyone had a fun Halloween. The kids had small party at daycare and then we were invited our friend's home where our kids went House Trick or Treating for the first time.  Our friends held a small party at their home. In their neighborhood in affluent Hillsborough, it was like a huge block party where a bunch of the homes were decorated really well and there were lots of kids and adults walking and running in all directions, adults with wine glass in hand. My only complaint was that it was on a Wednesday night.Unfortunately, we weren't able to take any of the photos as it was really dark and we had to make sure we didn't lose the kids.

Our neighborhood has no Halloween spirit, so no one really comes trick or treating over here. Think we only passed out candy one year.

The little ones look so cute in their costumes.  Hopefully you won't be experiencing any more big ones.

Eek, earthquakes are scary.  We have them here too, but I don't think I've experienced one that lasted 20 seconds.

Oh, those photos are great.  Your kids look sooo cute!!  =)

Aiyaaaa! Your kids are so cute. I need to touch their cheeks again! Is this getting old or what? haha.

When the earthquake started, I knew it instantly. I said my yelps (more like wuh-uh-uh!) and grabbed some important things (wink wink) and stood by the door. Luckily Mr. P just came upstairs at that second so I grabbed him and we waited it out, all the time wondering, is this a bigger one than the last big one and how long will it go on.
