I don't really feel qualified to criticize but the linework is nice and the colors are nicely done.  She did a pretty good job at creating texture in the clouds and in the sand.  Thumbs up! =)

From an artist perspective it is hard to define what is right and wrong depending which direction of style you want to go for. Unless Edith was going for a 'realist' approach, i think this piece of art works as it is. No need to change anything. For me i like this piece a lot. The technique is very soothing, colours are warm and soft, great for a beach scene. Sometimes things are not 'perfect' and this style makes the artist unique. For example Picasso drawing people but using shapes. Roald Dahl's book illustrator Quentin Blake also draws in a particular style that's very different. I love it! Tell your wifey 'great job la'! (But of course, everyone appreciates art differently, so not everyone has to agree with me, haha...) ^__^

Wow, she's good!!! I love seaside and nautical pictures. I really like this.

As I am a sea lover, I usually observe that there is no clouds at the sea level so there should be some separation of clear sky and clouds.  Otherwise, the sky looks like it is falling.  

The see through float must be a challenge to draw.  Right hand a bit small though.  As there is hardly any shadow, I assume it is noon.  The colour on the beach could be brighter and stronger.  Good for primary school textbooks and story books.

IMO, the girl is perfect, especially in detail, but back-ground(sea and sky) and perspective(hmm.. I should say "viewpoint"?) are just a little weak... just IMO. If she devises to take good perspective, this pic becomes more impressive... I love her pics, coz I can feel her warm personality through her pics. =)

shes good as always.  my only advice/crit is the hand is a little small...but thats it.
