I just came back from watching "Twilight." When I first saw the trailer, I thought the actors that were cast were not good looking enough. Now actually having watched the movie, I still think the actors were not good looking enough, but some how they fit the roles just perfectly. The story takes place in a little town of some 3000 people in Washington state called Forks. It's rainy, wet, and gloomy almost all year long. That's how the city was described in the book and that's the way it looked in the movie. The scenery was beautiful and the atmosphere felt just right in the movie, but that's about as much of a review that I can give this movie. Wanna know why?  I sat in a theater with a bunch of giddy teenager girls and guys that just would not shut up. I didn't even hear half of the words that came out of the characters' mouths. I could sense the beginning of the movie was a little cheesy, but that's about. I thought the ballet room scene toward the end was pretty dramatic, but I don't know. Didn't hear any words. Any time Edward (the male lead) was in a scene I hear "he's hot" and "OMG" and "it's Edward!" Any time Edward got close to Bella (the female lead), I heard shreaking all around me. So between the "he's hot", the shreaking, and the clapping, I heard nothing else. Luckily, I read the book otherwise I would be completely lost. I did think that there should've been more special effects. If you read the book, I have to say that the baseball was a little disappointing. I think it should've been filmed at night than the lightning and  thunder effect would have stuck out more.

I would love to tell everyone (that's over the age of 20) that they should go watch the movie because I had such I hopes for it, but...well...I think it's probably a rental. Of course, if you're still in your teens, I think you would love this movie very much. I know all the other teenagers loved it and I overheard a bunch of them talk about watching it a second time.

I wonder if I'm going to be working for the same company on Monday?

That kind of thing can really ruin a movie going experience.  My husband always says that you can put absolutely anyone up on a screen and they'll gain a following.  I'm inclined to believe it's true.  The dude who plays Edward has kind of a "dirtbag" look and yet girls are all swoony over him.  Perhaps he wouldn't even get a second look if he wasn't an actor.

    Is everything okay at work?

You feel some rumblings at work? With these times, I'd feel paranoid too. =(

It's a small chance the movie measures up to the book. But you had to see if it did. I've read that this movie would be a big hit with the tweens and young women. I do not think the lead is hot at all - he looks like he's half-asleep w/ those eyes, imo. But it's not unusual for young people to get caught in the romanticism of certain books. It's kinda cute.

My bgf and her daughter went last night.  If that was happening around her she will be so upset.  Not because she loves the books so much but because she NEVER goes to movies and has little tolerance for antics like that.  Hahahaha, she must've been going crazy.

Sorry your experience was subpar. The movie's getting middling reviews.

    What's with the job?
