• Rehearsals Ending: 排练快要结束

  After two weeks of intense smoke-filled rehearsals (I don't smoke but the guy I'm playing is a chimney), we start lensing our portion of 《北京出租车》 from tomorrow morning! Preparations have been in true John Cassavettes style.  We've been re-working the scrīpt based on pure improvisation, Qiao Li making notes of bits he likes as we go along. No two takes of a scene are exactly the same (sometimes not even remotely!), so what will happen tomorrow is rather dauntingly frightening. The goal is to throw acting out the door, which is damn scary. We'll find out what happens from tomorrow when we begin committing this baby to film!

This one's about a job interview and again 比尔盖茨 steals the show. This clip from Tudou is a super slow upload and has only Chinese subtitles (只有中文字幕）! But I hope that we can have an English-subtitled uncut version up shortly. Trust everyone had a killer Halloween weekend bash, I will report on my night at the infamous Yen fetish disco party in the next blog, with photos to boot.
