They both come out in Feb and March (which aren't really hot dates for releasing films)...my theory is that both will suck, but I'll try my best to like them.
I'm leaning more towards Transformers 2...oh, I mean Terminator 4:
@Jonathan Jay Lee: "kristen kruek could only tickle me to death with those legs." (resisting urge to make remark about keeping fantasies to yourself... =D)
they should have chose a chun li with those huge monster dragon kick thighs from the SF3 game, for serious ass kicking. i feel like kristen kruek could only tickle me to death with those legs.
oh and spawn!! spawn sucked! navel lint is more interesting and entertaining than that movie. the cartoon was great. can't fig. out how they f'd that up but it is hollywood. where there is an extreme lack of talent and vision, there is a way.
i was about to get pissed all up in your comments. i wanted to know how they go from ming na to a white girl from smallville. i see her mom is "..of chinese ancestry.." whateva. i'll probably see it if/when it plays on a computer near me. ;)
i'm the only anime fan i know that doesn't like DB. i just never got into it. i do wanna see the movie but that has more to do with following yun-fat than anything else.
oh heyll yes!!! i forgot all about terminator 4. woo hoo!! doin' my little happy dance. *cough cough* note to self: flu doesn't like happy dancin'.
star trek is lookin' good!! i'm a trekkie, too. i've been contemplating renting the short lived cartoon series. (shutup!! that's not funny) I had an issue at first with the casting. primarily, simon pegg because he's too old to be with the rest of the cast. scotty wasn't 10-15 older than kirk, et al. bones was the old guy. i'm picayune. what can i say?
i beg to differ. i see your street fighter movie and raise you one mario bros. (if we're talkin game movies) or the last highlander (if we're talkin' movies based on something else). hell the last 2 highlanders if you count the final movie from scifi. they made me weep and cry out for justice.
The new Street Fighter movie is also there to coincide with the home console release of Street Fighter 4. To be honest, I've actually never seen the old live action Street Fighter movie. It has the word "cheese factor" written all over it.
If even the Dragon Ball fanboys carry doubt with the live action DB movie, then we have a serious problem here. (And believe me, they are bitching about it as we speak.)
YAY Street Fighter! Yay Robin (Shou)! Did ya recognize him? Robin (aka Liu Kang) plays Chun-li's mentor Gen. Robin said (Robin's a friend of mine) if SF does well at the theatre, they're planning a sequel with one of the other game characters as the central character for the film. So go see it at the theatre AND take friends!! And, what Etchy said, yes, Josie Ho is in SF along with Harry Yuan's mom Pei-pei Cheng.
(resisting urge to make off color remark using the work "dragonballz"...) How bad can a film suck if CYF is in it? We might just find out... :(
Transformers should be good. I'm a Trekkie, but I'm not all that excited about the new prequal. Most prequals are predictable shlock. When the first announced another Trek film and the prequal rumor stared circulating, most Trekkies were totally against the idea. I'm guessing it will do OK at the theatre, but will do better in dvd sales.
The gameboys will flock to the DB and SF films. Hopefully they won't be total dreck. lol. It's a shame CYF has to be in this type of English-languaged film. Oh well, I won't knock it until I see it which prolly be about one year from now. Mayyybe.
There's a Terminator 4? I haven't read much about that. 1 and 2 are still favorites.
