    Whenever I'm in Hong Kong during cold weather months, I always get roasted chestnuts.  There's these street vendors who "fry" the chestnuts in a huge wok and serve them up in a paper bag.  The smell of the roasted chestnuts is amazing. 

    I've only had them in HK.... so whenever I smell a scent that's similar to the roasted chestnuts, it takes me straight back to the last time I had them.... on the streets of Hong Kong.  Even talking about it makes my mouth water.  I miss those hot, roasted chestnuts.

    I'm in Beijing and today it was a high of -5 degrees.  I'm trying to recall when it ever was cold in Hong Kong in the winter.  I know it must have been, but looking back, now I don't think so.  But I do know chestnuts.  Always reminds me of a joke.  Ask me about it sometime.

    Yum....I haven't had roasted chestnuts for a long long time.  What are the black things in the wok?

    I love chestnuts. My mom used to bake them in the oven. You can do that at home!!

    not on the streets, but inside some shops can get roasted chesnuts.  yummy!!!
