    ...choose your hotel when going on vacation.....do you select based on recommendations, personal experience, online (tripadvisor) reviews, price, etc.? 

    For me, it's a combination of all the above.  Once I've stayed at a hotel and I like the service/accommodations, I usually stick to that brand.  If it's not available, I'll go by friends recommendations and then look up the hotel on tripadvisor.  I tend to look for price (within my budget) and comfort (good location & CLEAN)  in a hotel.

    If everything works out, I'll be going to Orlando for a few days..... DISNEY!    Does anyone have any good hotel recommendations?

    Wow I love to go to Orlando. Yeah I like looking up the reviews on Tripadvisor just to get some ideas but I don't take it on board too much cos everyone has different opinions.

    I go with Holiday Inn due to membership deals and I also look for location.

    I love Orlando, I've been three times, but stayed at budget hotels Quality Inn and best Western, not in kissimmee vicinity with Disney. Hope you enjoy it!

    Forgot to say, free shuttle to the various Disney World parks is available w/booking a room. Again, check the amenities or call the hotel and find out.

    I usually go by the amenities and the pics they have on their site...keeping in mind it may be 10x worse...but is the price reasonable? Oh, and it really depends on the room you get too (I don't mean the size, I mean the actual room they give you when you check in). If you're not satisfied w/the room, speak up...I checked into a room in LA once that reeked sewage! It was awful!!! I called the front desk and they switched my room pretty quick. They'll usually work at pleasing you, if not, tell them that it's false info they have online and demand a full refund. (I've never had to use that tatic...but you never know). I've stayed in a nearby town the last time I was in Orlando...Kissimmee @ Seralogo. The accomodations were decent. Two pools and it's close to local attractions. Workers were really nice too. I think I'm going to try a resort the next time I'm down there...but of course I'll be bringing my siblings. Have fun!!!

    Woo i'm going to Orlando next year.. I brought it package which expires next year..
    i'll be staying at the Sheraton..

    I checked out the Disneyland resort and booked the Swan Hotel. I have a blog about it but haven't published it yet. It's convenient bc the boat would take us to all of the main attractions of the Magic Kingdom (which consists of Epcot, Disneyworld and Disney Studios). No need to rent a car. Then there are hotels outside of the resort which most likely have shuttles to and from. Very convenient. The whole resort rocks!

    I consider the price and location... experience if I've been there... =)

    oOooOo... Orlando and Disney!!!~ sounds like fun... =)  *I've never been there before*
