  • Old Town

    During the trip, we visited this place called "Old Town".  It's an amusement park with some quaint little shops.  Some of the rides were really dangerous (free falling/bungee jumping kind of rides) and not for the weak hearted.  I was surprised to see the long lines for these rides but these seemed to be the most popular rides at the park.  We stood around and watched the rides for a while .... I don't think I'd ever have the nerves to try it but good for those people who tried it.  It will be a memorable experience for them.


    The stores were quite "touristy" and they ranged from palm reading, henna tattoos parlors, magic shops to souvenirs shops and restaurants and bars.  There was even a haunted house that had some people outside dressed in some really scary duds.    I walked by pretty quickly so no photos there.  I wasn't sure if they were into scaring the passersby.

    There was a collection of vintage cars on display (I think some were on sale as well?  Not sure about that.).  I kinda liked this one the best because it had a little dancing bear on top of the seat.  Hehe...

    I remember Old Town, i think we chanced upon it by accident when I was there in 95. I loved the old cars but it was the sight of too many fur shops that made me think i wouldn't go back. It looks a lot better now.

    Yeah...I used to like rides when lil...but now I can't handle it at all, way too scary!!

    Did you go on any rides? A ferris wheel? The ferris wheel gives me a jittery feeling. Gosh, the ride's not that thrilling yet it's scary up there. It wasn't always like that. =( What's happening to me?? haha.

    Vintage cars are so cool!
