    I remember getting my first perm at the age of  14.  The result was big, fluffy hair.... .  When I got it I felt quite cool and hip... haha, but now that I'm looking back........ what was I thinking?!   I've hidden all my photos from those days.... lol, hideous.      Fast forward to today where I've been hearing a lot about digital perms.  After reading Lianne Lin's post, it looks like something worth considering.  The curls look nice.... not tight curls... wavy.  It looks like a perm that's growing out, but nicer.  It's said not to be as damaging as a regular perm and the curls are more bouncier.  But the machine that they use is scary looking... like something out of the torture chamber in a bad horror movie.

    i had my hair permed in JHS.. i wouldn't do it again..it makes me look so old.. LOL

    i had my hair permed back in jr. high and high school. no more for me...

    bigger waves might be nice though..

    Yeah the perm looks great on Lianne. I remember my sister did the old 80's style perm on me, she nearly balded me and made me look like Shirley Temple. I haven't been brave enough to try it since.

    my first at 16 (big curls), my second at 17 (tight curls). well it was the 80s.
    I like wavy hair, I'm going to check that out

    Hey, those waves look nice. I always wondered about those chemical perms - if we only rolled up halfway (not to the scalp), would the perm still come out decent? If I had longer hair, I would consider this. Actually, I'm not that big on my hair anymore, so maybe not....

    I had my first perm when I was 9. What was my mother thinking?
