    Have you ever ordered a delicious looking dish from the menu only to be disappointed that the actual dish looks different from the photo in the menu?  That has happened to me numerous times.  A lot of work and thought go into those photos and advertisements.  I love to take pictures of food so I found these very interesting.  The below videos shows the behind the scenes at food photography.

    Yeah I think it's pretty common, they know how to market food, but when we get it on the table it doesn't look anything like the picture.

    I agree with the first guy too that food is like fashion, angles and designs need to be updated each season.

    yup...

    often times the food looks so good. but in reality, both the look and the tastes disappoint. =/

    Yeh, they have some neat tricks to pretty up food for photography. Like red lipstick for redder strawberries, fake grill marks, etc.
