Just got back from our first brief classroom course for scuba certification. Patrick, Boon, Raffi, and I are all getting our scuba certification together so that we can be prepared for our HAWAIIAN VACATION... luckily, it sounds like we'll be able to get our certification in four brief outings. I'm really excited with the prospect of being able to travel around the Pacific and doing more scuba diving... another reason for me to explore Thailand and Bali and lots of other places ...

I went scuba diving last year when I was in Dongshan Island in China. Basically, an instructor held guided me the entire time and we only got to 10 meters... Plus, it was right after a typhoon so the water wasn't very clear... not too enjoyable.

Umm... I'm much tanner now...

However, after my snorkeling trip in Hawaii last year, I've been eager to be able explore alot more underwater -- it kind of opens the horizons on what kind of things you can do when you're on vacation!

Speaking of outdoors, I added photos from the boat trip and swiming expedition that we did before. I think etchy has already posted a bunch of photos (and they're probably better), but here are my few fun photos...

Also, you guys probably saw the photos that I posted when I went to Ani-Com with friends to help promote Alive Not Dead. It was TIRING, but fun... Shan and Cass make an AMAZING duo when passing out fliers and I saw numerous geek-boys with the mouths literally hung open when they spotted our Wonder Twins in action. Here are some of my personal photos from the day...

I love that they put this gigantic phallus statue out in front of one of HK's most crowded shopping malls and it's not a problem. Not like in puritanical America ... and I might be mistaken, but his pubic hair looks like they're actually Hong Kong dollar coins... Wow....or maybe flowers... I can't tell...

yeah, i love snorkeling. it's like swimming inside an aquarium. have you ever snorkeled with sea turtles in Hawaii? that was an awesome experience!

that's cool that you guys are getting scuba certifications. the closest i've done is "snuba", which is a cross btwn snorkeling and scuba, basically snorkeling at the bottom of the ocean while attached to an air tank on a raft above you. i'll have to try scuba one day. let me know how it goes.

Yeap… That’s right you need to take wreck specialty dives course. When you’ve a chance, you can take an open advance course in Australia plus the options with wreck dives…. Yeap…Australia (Great Barrier Reef) marvelous dives sites…. Maldives also gorgeous for dives…. Alright then might see you in the future and might be your dives buddies? Who know?

Yeap…. cool…Are you a PADI Certificate???? Hawaii trip is also great… Pearl Harbour which is a great for wreck diving…Hawaii is my dream place for dive and Australia ….. I wish I could go to Hawaii for Diving (for wreck dive) … to see the ships and the history of the war ….

I think to have a scuba diving which you can learn a lots from there and also you will meet different un- expectance events... Hmmmm…. Life is so different…

Hey…It doesn’t matter what level you are... I always have the beginner level… because I go for diving every year… so I also have to learn from the beginner and review everything which I learnt before …. …. I am not a regular diver…so I try to go every year as I could …

Oooop… I have ever visited Asia or Australia yet. Actually, I’m unfamiliar Asia of the dive site… I’m afraid I couldn’t suggest you the best dive site in Asia.

At the moments, I only know Bali place, so I might go to take a couple of lessons in Bali for my dive in end of August or earlier in September.

Thankyou… I took my photo which is from Greece and Malta. Actually, I have only been a few places and only in European countries. I have been to Greece (Crete), Egypt (Red Sea) and Malta. Every place has there individual dive site…

This is so cool... you are Scuba certificate... great man....and lovely photos... You love Diving??? I guess you are... Scuba Diving is great.. isn't it???

Ahhh.....I am planning to go to Bali for my next diving... probaby will see you there...

i love all the ani-com pics!!! it looks so fun! i'm going to blizzcon (conference held by blizzard, makers of world of warcraft) this weekend and will make sure to post lots of pictures.

wth is up with the public flower lion in times square? why is it there?

You're right. You'd never see a statue/drawing/sketch/any sort of sexual organ depiction out in the open like that in America. Blood, gore, guns, knives, hangings, decapitations, dismemberment, mutilation; anything but sex is fine though. Welcome to America.

And you don't look like you need a Wii Fit. I take that back.

wow, aqua-man, don't worry about tanning. Don't toast yourself to another skin level. At least u guys can now save girls underwater as well as on land. take care, xo

It depends on what time of the day you reach me -- I can be super-focused on my work or I can be the life of the party when I'm happy. I try to be happy, level-headed, and I DO enjoy meeting new people if they're also nice, happy, interesting people.

Born in Ohio, grew up in Maryland and Los Angeles, then moved out to the San Francisco Bay Area to attend college at U.C. Berkeley. I was lucky enough to catch the dotcom boom after I graduated and, being already an online nerd, did a couple of online companies with friends. Eventually, my adventure led to China, Hong Kong, and now in Beijing...
