Saturday, rainny day.. I took LRT down to Central Market. FIND ART EXHIBITION is consider an art market. It is an event where artist could exhibite their work, and all work are for sell. During this launch night, there were some drinks and there were live band performance. I will call it as sharing coz not very official. Just to know people and JAM. =)

Some work that i like personally. This little thing is cute... looks a bit like Octopus... a bit like fruits or vege... i am those who obsess towards round and fat thing... hehe

This series is very soft and sweet. Small little piece of work. Nicely done. We see a bit Nara in it. Mayb they used the same colour scheme. =)
I love this stroke. His work is a bit spontaneous, unique and strong characteristic. It stands out from the rest. Hope to see more of his or her work.
This is nice because the artist think about ways to enhance his/her idea through additional props. Good afford.

There is another exhibition on the top floor of Annexe. I love this pcs a lot. Is my 1st time seeing a painting in pure black. But with the reflactive surface from the spotlight, it created illusion and formed a visual. The title of this pcs call "THE BLACK SHIP". Can you see what i see? This cost RM 50,000.
Jaw dropping*

Met way's fren Spencer which is an artist from New York. He spend about 7 yrs in Taiwan, a yr and half in Malaysia. He is planning to move to Singapore 6 months later. He is a very friendly and sharing guy. Chat with him quite a bit and learn little bit through our short conversation. This is Spencer looking at Way.

He has pointed out something which i never notice. He says, paint and mounting material used for the framing is very important because all this affect the quality of the art work after a certain yrs. B/c after a period of time, the colour chemical of the mounting board might spread onto the art paper like a diseases. It will spoilt the originality of the work isn't it. Its worthless to purchase a work that can't last for a decades.
The pigment percentage of Malaysia's art material is not right or not long lasting. He normally will have to go down to Singapore to get the material. He doesn't want to waste his time to paint a piece of work which won't last. I agree... If i am an artist, i would like my work to last forever.
This is something new i learned today. I know what to take note in future if i want to purchase any art work. Or even if i wanna start drawing like an artist. GOOD LESSON!
