(but i'm already worn out..haha i'll be sticking at home and wait for friends to come tomorrow!!! July 1!!!)
first note, i don't know if the Korean Bboys champion group name is with a 's' or a 'z' (Drifters? or Drifterz?) either way, i apologize if i got it wrong. [the answer - Drifterz...sorry peeps, i'll update my photos with the correct name.]
second note, i'm proud to be female cause female don't have to pay to get in!!!! ONE UP ONE UP GIRLZZZZZZZZZ!!!!
okie.
i admit, i have no single idea bout the Bboys market. all i know is to admire and stare at their performance in awe. so, i have this magazine i picked up when i watched Exile for NYAFF. by the way, Exile is a WONDERFUL movie. every single character in there is fantastic. 10 stars for the movie and hopefully it'll win the viewers choice award. i voted twice. :P
so, in the little magazine, i saw this event and talked bout it with my friend in Malaysia who just picked up break dancing. he was so jealous, and tht's how i get to know bout The Drifterz Crew. i googled them and not much info came up, just videos. i wanna be prepare before meeting them. if not, i'll be just all embarassed. not like it didn't happen. it does. cause, i don't know ANY of them...just a visual of who they are, but no idea what's their content.
got to Hiro Ballroom around 11pm (man, i have two world most indecisive, and slow as hell male roommates. AND they don't like to take subway...*sweat* what kind of male species is tht???). we were hanging out in the main area...didn't spot the Drifterz. but wait! i raise my head and spotted them upstairs!!! so, i told my boys, next stop, up stairs. we went.
they really know how to pose!!! (i snap this from behind a photographer he asked them for a shoot)
DANG!!!! they were in warm up session. some 'up close' performance i get to see there!!! as i promise my friend from M'sia, i'd get their signature for him. i hesitated cause they were practicing...i'm sure i'll be bugging them...but if not now when? so i just go straight up and ask one of the member sitting at a corner. they were so nice!!!! oh by the way, i grab my roommates cause one of them is American Korean, so, he will come in handy!!! LOL!!! (how evil)
i told one guy (Bboy Trickx) i want everyone's autograph...and he did help me pass around!!! SOOOO SWEET!!!! and their signature is just so 'them'!!! all graffiti like!!! (i'll post it up later, lazy to scan.. :P) however, i manage to get only 6 out of maybe 8/10 members of the group. some seem so serious...i freak out..or i'm just not sure if they are part of the group or not... :S hahahahah!!! (coward)
Korean Bboys ATTACK!!! (was trying to pose like them, but i broke down and laugh at myself instead. and tht's when my roommate took the shoot..sigh)
later...i was trying to get photo of them 'on the floor'!!! one guy (Bboy Ninoo) nicely came up to me and start talking to me in Korean! at tht moment!!! ROOMMATE NEEDED!!! hahaha!!! so, apparently, camera flash will effect the dancer. so, no flash photogrphy YULIEN!!!!! i stop INSTANTLY. i hate flash in photography anyway...so, no pic of them on the floor...sorry peeps.
but here are some action of them when they are on stage!!!!! videos are dark...i can't do nothing bout it...it's a club. but i was sure the place is not big enough for them to really BREAK IT DOWN! too crowded...but they did a MARVELOUS JOB!!!
oooh....erm....forgive my shaky hand (again) cause i just can't HELP dancing with the music!!!! they are DANCE-TASTIC!!!!! and yeah...camera went out of focus area cause i don't like watching over camera screen...yet i wanna capture it...so...haha..i just gotta learn more video capturing skillzzzzzz!!!!

i heart him!!!! (he is the one tht told me 'no flash photography'...*blush*)
okie...end of story. oh wait!!! i HAVE to dress up for tht night...i hated it..cause i wanna BREAK DOWN AND DANCE LIKE THEM!!!! i still do though. silly dance....i was all sweaty and stuff... :P can see if me is in color......hahahahah!!!!
