so, last saturday, i went to Steve Aoki's set again!
this time, Studio B was not as fun...only Aoki's set is good. the rest is just blah.
nothing crazy happen, but i met a girl, her name is Kesh/Keisha.
she was the one tht got me access to my second experience of Aoki's set.
she was holding her birthday party, and Aoki was the invited DJ.
i had more fun tht night than at Studio B...plus i guess i was worry too.
cause i invited my friends to tag along, Anne and Pon-pon.
weird thing about me, i want to make sure they have fun.
so my concentration was more on 'are they having fun?' hahaha!!!!
busy mind tht night. :P
anyway, we step out of Studio B and saw Aoki hanging around just outside the club with a bunch of friends.
never thought i'd bump into him, but i did!
then i hold up his CD, wave it and was he happy! hahaha!
he said, "Do you want me to sign it?"
me, silence (cause i forget to bring my sharpie with me).
he continue, "Or do you want me to just touch it?"
(tht just CRACK ME UP!!! hahahah!!!!!)
but me answer, "I forget to bring my sharpie with me..."
(still laughing)
instantly he reply, "I got one!"
hahahahah!!! "Alright!"
he's funny and friendly.
while signing my CD, he said, "I like Asian. Do you know what I always tell my Asian?"
then he scribble on my CD booklet...
"Yellow Peril!"
at tht time, i have no idea what it was until i went google about it.
i learned something new!
(back to Aoki still scribbling)
he shout, "Did anybody call the car service yet?"
me and my friend just laugh.
then my friend said, "Can you sign my hand?"
he said, "Sure! Where do you want it to be?"
my friend, "Can you lick it too?"
and HE DID!!!! LOL!!!! such funny guy...
his reaction, "Salty hand..."
LOL!!! i was cracking up next to them...
again he shout, "Where is the car service?"
then i told him, "I need a polariod snap of you."
(yay! another to add in my collection!)
he sets himself up...
i like his t-shirt graphic
then a car arrive. "Finally!"
and before he gets in the car, he looked very seriously and straight into one of my friend (american) and shout to him, "Take care of my Asian! I LOVE ASIAN!"
then his friend said, "Don't listen to him cause he's not Asian." and i said, "Yea, he doesn't look Asian at all..." LOL!!!!!
funny guy. it was a fun chat session.
we chatted more but i don't remember all the details. hahahah!!!

now his album review.
i gave 3.5 out of 5 stars.
it's more of a compilation of songs from his record company and some other like Justice, Bloc Party etc. still need better song management? i don't know the right term to use. the songs in there are great, but they don't seems to link up nicely. maybe tht's his purpose cause he's just so 'casual' or 'random'? hahaha!!!!
but his live set is definitely way better. i guess he needs to get copyright for the songs he plays live? tht's why it's not in the CD? again, i'm just assuming. i have ZERO knowledge in music production, or music, period. i only listen and DANCE DANCE DANCE! hahhahah!!!
but still, it's a fun CD to listen to. i might be just too 'anal' for perfection???? *shrug*
i will still crank up his CD on friday night! pre-party! hahahahaha!!!!
...gosh since when i'm so 'dancy'??? i dunno. but i'm glad i get to express!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thus, this week, i'm grounding myself.
no going out till late. tons of stuff to do.
taking a break!
