NY Subway, famous for its rat resident and not to forget the friendly neighbor, Trash.

it might be just me, but i cannot understand how some people can just 'drop' their trash down 'anywhere'.

"Opps, my trash just 'slip' off my hand. Well, I'll just leave it there. Nobody see me doing it anyway."

another scenario,

"OOOO!! Look at how the empty can/bottle of drink just 'roll' around in the subway cart!! How interesting to see it coming to me, and I'll just kick it away! Wow!!!"

both scenario piss me off!

how can people just 'drop' their trash in public? it's not like supper massive big trash bag trash. can't you just hold on to a used tissue, or some gum wrapper to the next trash can? we are fortunate enough to have people clean up the trash can for us when it is full. the only thing we have to do is 'put' it in, and go.

what worst is when people can actually 'shoot' the trash off the subway door, or slide the trash down the subway track through the gap in between the cart and the floor/stop. is it SOOOOO HARD to just throw it to the trash can provided??

DAMN!

i cannot imagine how much trash is being created EVERY DAY, EVERY MINUTE, EVERY SECOND of our life.

i hope my little help by picking up 'rolling' bottle or can in the beautiful, clean subway cart; my little strength of 'holding' on to my trash until the next trash can stop will be able to make a tiny bit changes to help the world trash being directed to where it is suppose to be.

how can people dirty up clean things??? or am i just being tooooo 'cleany'? but i can tell you i'm SURELY NOT! but i just don't like people can dirty up things when they can keep it clean with just little effort.

PS: what prompt me to write this is i saw a subway vacum train last night!!! amazing...also, i'm going to blog on why people can get frustrated when the train is late. ridiculous/pointless frustration for them. till the next blog, i'm OUTTA here!

Im with u at that point. it pis... me of !!!
One should try and be a good example so people might fallow and do the same thing.
Even thou its not that bad in Germany, but at certain places..... woooh !!!!

The subway scenario is an example of how people are affected by their environment. People is more likely to perform bad conduct if they see that everyone else is doing it. If the subway were kept spotlessly clean, much fewer people would trash there. Just compare the subway with the public hospital.

This guy in his van kept tossing trash out of his car, I was right behind him going back home from LA. The whole entire family did it. My family was shocked how they could just do that w/o a care in the world. I just about got mad at them and honked them but then there are some weirdos that will shoot at ppl for that type of thing. Had to resist the urge.

They just kept littering over a distance of 59 miles. It's ridiculas how ppl will clean up their mess on/in their own property, but litter once they're in the outdoors.

Trash will eventually go back to them. Not everything decomposes.

Yes! Trash is like somebody else's business. "I don't need this, let me throw it down here, someone else can take care of it cos it's just trash." I don't get it either.

I agree. I mean it's not that hard to throw trash in a trash can! It's that simple.

tht's another serious issue, esp i'm staying in chinatown...jeez...

it seems to them tht public places is not their house, so littering the public is okie. if tht's really going in their head, i really wanna know WHERE THE HELL DID THEY GET THE IDEA FROM?

the earth is the bigger picture of our home. jeez....WAKE UP PPL!

Come visit San Francisco and you will see a different scenery. Public spitting by mostly Chinese. I am sure they know they are spreading germs by such act. Why can't they spit it on a tissue?
