    SINCE WE are on the subject...and I'm interested to know if we watched these shows at the SAME time...

    List top 5 all-time favorite OLD TV shows. I guess I'll start.

    1. I love Lucy - she's just one of a kind.
    2. America's Funniest Home Videos - gives me a laugh no matter what my mood.
    3.
    Darkwing Duck - inspired me to be a funny mischief.
    4. Charles in Charge - hesitant to admit that I really looked up to Charles as a kid.
    5. Tom and Jerry - my sister still hysterically watches this sometimes.

    Yeah I think you were either a Hulk Hogan or Ultimate Warrior Fan, I used to switch allegiance, first Hulk Hogan and then Ultimate Warrior. Legion of Doom was my favourite tagteam alongside The Rockers. Damn that's going back a bit! Kinda miss the gimmicks of the 80s/90s Wrestling.

    mary: yeah i think the obstacle made bruce better tho. just hope my obstacle does the same for me :D

    jay: Pointy walls because they didn't want children writing on it lol. i live in the projects so it was real dirty. flying cockroaches everywhere. i always had the urge to do a cartwheell in the hallway with the pointy walls. one day i did and i hit the wall. that hurt alot LOL. but i still had the urge to do it all the time haha

    I really liked to watch: (in no particular order)
    - The Smurfs
    - Silver Spoons
    - Different Strokes
    - Tom and Jerry and Looney Toons
    - I Love Lucy
    - Saved by the Bell
    - Three's Company

    I also liked Seinfeld a lot but that wasn't really that old I think.

    Pointy walls?  Too much skip spatter...must have been dreadful on your tender little arms!  Beef stew w/rice sounds good!  Mmmm....

    We should do a list of TV shows we did NOT like!  I can remember being so uncomfortable with some of the sitcoms/dramas of the 1970's...they just made me feel anxious and icky (that's the only way I can describe it).

    Here are my LEAST favorite TV shows from growing up:

    1.  All in the Family (I guess I didn't like all the yelling & tension...it overshadowed the comedy);
    2.  The Brady Bunch (it was inevitable that there would be some kind of conflict and the predictability became too much to stomach);
    3.  Little House on the Prairie;
    4.  Maude; and
    5.  Good Times (ruined after John Amos left even though J J Jimmy Walker was still all "Dy-no-mite!").

    Wooow... another hard one...

    LOVED Darkwing Duck. I know all the words to the theme song still. "Darkwing! Darkwing! DUCK!" We have SO gotta talk D. into working the phrase "let's get dangerous" into a script! I wonder if my Darkwing watch still works...
    ::looks around rather embarrassed::
    Anyhoo... so I guess that'd fall into the top five.

    Voltron was another fave... My older sister would have friends over and I'd be watching Voltron. My sister would get mad cuz the friend would abandon her and want to watch Voltron with me =D

    (looking at other's lists...)

    yep, I remember watching re-runs of the original Mickey Mouse Club. I recently rented a dvd of it for my kids to watch. Great memories there... "today is TUesday, you know what that means..."

    Star Trek, X-files, old or new(ish) Twilight Zone... did anyone else watch the "Laugh Olympics" on Saturday morning? Or the Kroft Super Show? Dr. Shrinker?  Oh happy memories...

    vanness: haha. naw tom and jerry didn't make me wanna do those things. it actually helps smart kids differentiate reality and TV, which is a good skill to acquire early before permanent things happen hehe.

    flagday: wow. outter limits? cool. i liked that one too. you a sci fi fanatic too aye? :D

    joanne: WWF? yeah baby. i loved it too. who was your favorite back then? mine was the ultimate warrior.

    david: action junkie. you think. haha.

    sith: see, now WE are from the same generation :D hehe

    it's funny how the TIME you were born has a lot to do with favorite TV show but not such as strong influence in movies.

    there's shows that i enjoyed as a child that i can barely stomach now.

    cat: i like watching chips too

    jay: these conversations ARE very nastalgic. and just like you, i can bring up exactly what i felt at that moment coming form school, washing my feet in cold ass water then sitting down eating a bowl of beef stew with rice, watching the SMurfs haha. i also remembered the apartment being very small and the walls were pointy, i hated scraping up against it.
